Called Wacom direct this morning. They said all the new drivers are working fine on Mavericks. But people are not de-installing the old drivers properly and that causes problems and conflicts. I had a similar issue with Cintiq24HD Touch - after installing Mavericks nothing worked.

It seems that most people just trash the old driver. Wacom tech said not do dump the old driver the MAC tracsh. They told me that I needed to use the Wacom utility to uninstall the old driver, then reboot your cpu, then install the new driver, then reboot again. That's what they said to do and that's what I did, step by step. It worked super for me this morning.
Hope it helps others. It would save a lot of us a lot of down time if they put that little bit of infomation in the install instructions before we install the new drivers. I checked, and couldn't find it anywhere. Just tried iARAs routine: installing the newest Wacom driver 6.3.7-2 (the newest on the european Wacom site, that is). My preference panel just states 'A supported tablet was not found on the system' - even though my Intous 2's light is on, and my pen can be used as a standard mouse. Wacom's site is a nightmare and doesn't list any drivers for Intuos 2.
Under the list of 'all drivers' - with no information of the supported hardware - I found the 6.3.6-4 version. So i used the Wacom utility program, - deleting all user preferences and the newest tablet software, - restarted the Mac, and installed the older driver software, - restarted the Mac again, and: 'A supported tablet was not found on the system' - Even did the routine of deleting and reinstalling an extra time for both versions. Same result! I have a brand new Macbook Pro with Mavericks and installing either of the drivers (latest on the front page and latest on the Intuos 2 legacy page) didn't work, no matter what order i did it in and how i removed them. I still get the 'A supported tablet was not found.' Message every time.
I called Wacom this morning and the person I spoke to said they're no longer supporting the Intuos 2 because it's 10 years old. It's so upsetting because nothing is wrong with my tablet, they're just choosing not to continue supporting it. What a waste. Your hint with installing the 6.20 driver just saved my life!!!! I have been trying in vain to get my Intuous 2 running fully since Thursday when I got my new Mac running on Mavericks and was near desperation, having tried out new, older and various drivers, called my Mac store, tried colleagues. Nothing worked.
I was just going to unplug my new computer and finish my deadline work on the old one when I happened upon this thread and your tip. Everything workes as supposed and I can keep my deadline- thanks so much ever!!!!
